The Shimano Ultegra PD-R8000 is a road clipless pedal built around a wide carbon composite platform for a stable connection. The extra-wide body gives a large clip-in target for quick engagement at stops and starts, while a low-profile design increases road clearance for confident cornering through turns.

Stainless steel body plates reduce flex and wear at the pedal body while giving cleats a smooth, consistent surface for float. Wide-set bearings distribute load evenly for longer bearing life and smoother rotation, and entry and release tension adjust to suit riding styles from casual commuting to sprint efforts.
