The SRAM Apex 1 rear derailleur is built for 1x drivetrains. Its long cage design extends compatibility to wide-range cassettes, and X-HORIZON geometry reduces shift force while curbing chain slap. The Roller Bearing Clutch keeps the chain quiet and controlled over rough terrain.

An aluminum cage houses sealed steel pulley bearings for durability under load. CAGE LOCK technology locks the cage forward, simplifying wheel and chain installation, while a large upper pulley offset automatically adjusts chain gap across the cassette. The result is smooth, consistent shifting even as terrain gets rough.
